The Portorož Business Conference is a joint project of its main organizers, Faculty of Economics, University of Ljubljana and Slovenian Business Daily Finance. It represents an intensive and pragmatic transaction of the newest business knowledge into action for the best business practice in the Central and SE Europe. The 20. Keynote speaker: Lars-Johan Jarnheimer, Chairman of IKEA Group, Former President and CEO of Tele2 AB

Lars-Johan Jarnheimer became Chairman of IKEA Group January 2015. He is the former President & CEO of Tele2 AB a major European telecommunications operator, with about 14 million customers in 9 countries.
Jarnheimer’s corporate leadership began in 1991 when he joined the Kinnevik Group an investment companies with stakes in about 30 companies operating across five continents in more than 80 countries, with a particular focus on growth markets.
Soon after this his career at the Kinnevik Group accelerated and he became Managing Director of the newly started telecom company Comviq GSM AB. After Comviq’s merger with Tele2, Jarnheimer left for new challenges at SAAB Automobile where he became responsible for the Scandinavian, Baltic, and Russian markets.
From 1999 to 2008 Lars-Johan held the role of President & CEO of Tele2 AB.
His current directorships include INGKA Holding B.V (the Parent company of IKEA); Apoteket AB, the Swedish state owned pharmacy retailer, Arvid Nordquist Handelsaktiebolag and he is a member of the Boards of SAS AB, Egmont International Holding A/S, Elite Hotels (SSRS Holding Aktiebolag) and Seamless, a mobile application provider.

Prof. Ferdinand Dudenhöffer is Full Professor Chair Business Management and Automotive Economics University Duisburg-Essen (Germany), scope of research is the automotive industry. From 1985 to 1996, Dudenhöffer worked for car makers, including Opel, Porsche and Peugeot.

Dudenhoeffer and his CAR-Team are involved in research programs on sustainable mobility.

His latest book »Wer kriegt die Kurve?« (tr. Who’ll turn the corner?) was published in 2016.

Founder and organizer of annual CAR Symposium Congress – started in 2000 – Currently more than 1.200 Participants and more than 100 exhibitors.

Founder and organizer of Chinese Car Symposium – started in 2014 in Shanghai.


Susanne Stormer, Vice President of Corporate Sustainability, Chief Sustainability Officer, Novo Nordisk

Susanne leads Novo Nordisk’s efforts to be a sustainable business, building on the company’s Triple Bottom Line (TBL) business principle.

Susanne joined the Novo Group in 2000. She is member of the International Integrated Reporting Council, and member of the Board of the Access to Nutrition Foundation. She is adjunct professor of Corporate Sustainability at the Copenhagen Business School and a Berkeley Social Impact Fellow at the UC Berkeley-Haas School of Business.

Susanne holds a MA in English Studies and a BA in East Asian Area Studies, both from Aarhus University, Denmark. She is a graduate of the Stanford Business Executive Programme.
