s former Executive Director for Retail and Wealth Management within the International Subsidiary Banks Division (ISBD) of the Intesa Sanpaolo Group, he led the implementation of the retail strategy across the subsidiary banks of the ISBD division over the past two years.
Before joining the Intesa Sanpaolo Group, he spent four years as Head of Network Coordination at UBI Banca, one of Italy’s largest banking groups, which merged into Intesa Sanpaolo in 2021. During this period, he also served as Deputy Chairman and Board Member of UBI Sicura S.p.A., as well as Board Member of UBI Leasing S.p.A.
Between 2015 and 2016, he was Deputy General Manager and Head of Sales & Marketing at CreditRas Assicurazioni S.p.A. in Milan, a joint venture between Allianz and UniCredit in the bancassurance sector. From 2007 to 2015, he worked at UniCredit Group, first as Head of Network Coordination and Control for the Family & SME Network in Bologna, and later as Senior Vice President and Head of Retail Banking for Central Italy in Rome. Prior to that, he served for four years as Head of Retail Banking at Capitalia.
He began his career in business consulting, first at Accenture (formerly Andersen Consulting) as Senior Consultant and Analyst, and later as Head of Customer Engagement Practice at McKinsey & Company.
He was appointed Chairman of the Management Board of Intesa Sanpaolo Bank on March 13, 2023.
